We are so excited to bring back our Fatto a Mano series where we learn the art of handmade pasta with Sud Forno's Executive Chef Giovanna Alonzi! For the time being, Giovanna will guide you in the journey to master the techniques of pasta-making on the video conferencing application, Zoom.

In addition to receiving the access link to the class, you will be picking up your pasta starter kit at Sud Forno Queen (716 Queen St. W.) starting two days before the date of your class. You will be able to choose your pickup date and time on the checkout page. We will be emailing you your Zoom access link 24 hours before the start of your class.

On Sunday, June 21st, we celebrate Festa Del Papà! Italians celebrate Father’s Day to commemorate San Giuseppe, a symbol of fatherhood. For this class, Chef Giovanna Alonzi will be teaching us how to make stuffed ravioli with spinach and ricotta! Included in your pasta starter kit are two zeppole, the classic southern Italian dolce that is typically made for San Giuseppe. A zeppola is a choux pastry filled with pastry cream, chantilly cream and amarena cherries.

Choose to purchase the event ticket on its own or pair it with a white wine, a ravioli stamp, or an Otello pasta machine.

Included in your starter kit:

  • Eggs
  • Flour
  • Pecorino
  • Grana Padano
  • Pre-made Sheeted Dough
  • Spinach
  • Ricotta
  • Empty Piping bag
  • 2 Small Zeppole
  • Menu with Recipe

Once you pick up your kit, store all items in the fridge except for the flour, the menu and the empty piping bag.

What you will need at home:

  • Counter space (at least 1m)
  • Rolling Pin (alternatives: wine bottle, broomstick, etc.)
  • Fork and Knife
  • If you want to keep things a bit cleaner, we suggest using an apron
