If you are interested in learning the art of pasta fatta in casa (homemade pasta) then our monthly "Fatto a Mano" series is the event for you! Executive Chef Giovanna Alonzi will guide you in the journey to master the techniques of handmade pasta. From egg pasta typical of Emilia Romagna like tagliatelle, ravioli or tortellini to orecchiette and cavatelli from the south, get your hands dirty and learn in a fun and interactive atmosphere.

For the time being, Chef Giovanna will be teaching the class on the video application, Zoom. The $35 cost of the event includes access to the class only. If you would like to receive your pasta starter kit, be sure to select the option above. You can pickup your pasta starter kit at Sud Forno Queen (716 Queen St. W.) or at Spaccio (22 Sackville St.) or have it delivered starting two days before the date of your class

You will be able to choose your pickup date and time on the checkout page. We will be emailing you your Zoom access link 24 hours before the start of your class. Once you receive your starter kit, store all items in the fridge.

This month Chef Giovanna will be teaching you the secrets to cannelloni, a classic cylindrical pasta traditionally stuffed with ricotta and spinach or sometimes ground meats. Enjoy the class on its own or choose to pair your experience with add-ons such as the pasta starter kit, Terroni's mezzo e mezzo antipasto plate or wine and bubbles courtesy of our wine agency, Cavinona!

Tagliere Mezzo e Mezzo: antipasto plate with a selection of fine Italian cured meats and cheeses. Items may vary based on availability. Photo shown is an example board.

Le Monde Prosecco: Pale straw yellow with delicate aromas of baked golden apple, wisteria, and toasted bread. Bright and fresh with a delicate mousse.

2017 Blina Barbera d'Asti DOCG, Agostino Pavia: Ruby red with an intense bouquet of black cherry and juniper. On the palate the wine is classic Barbera: red berry flavours with a refreshing acidity. This is well-structured and smooth, low yields and old vines provide depth and concentration.

2018 Fiano di Avellino DOCG, Guido Marsella: Rich stone fruit comes forward in the form of pear and peach tones accompanied with herbal notes. The fruit slowly gives way to smokey/spicy flavours and a refreshing minerality.
