Sud Forno Holiday Meal
For the month of December, Sud Forno's Executive Chef Giovanna Alonzi has curated a custom menu so you can build your very own Sud Forno meal box every week! Choose from an array of appetizers, first courses, second courses and desserts and add-on a selection of wines and bags from Terroni's wine agency Cavinona and of course our panettone artigianale.
Like always we'll have fresh Sud Forno bread made by our Head Baker Luca Rotatori. We thank you immensely for your ongoing support throughout this year and we hope you are all staying safe. Happy holidays and buon appetito!

We now deliver our meal boxes with Trexity! Enter your postal code when you checkout to see if you are eligible for local delivery (20km radius from Spaccio at 22 Sackville Street). Deliveries arrive between 3pm-6pm. You will receive same day delivery if you order before 3pm. Orders placed after 3pm will arrive next day. Deliveries with Trexity can be tracked from the moment your order is being prepared up until you receive your order.
Store pickup for this item is available at Sud Forno Queen (716 Queen St. W.) or at Spaccio (22 Sackville St.) from Friday, December 4th to Sunday, December 20th. Choose your pickup date and time on the checkout page.

2018 Ciro Rosso Classico Superiore DOC, Scala, Calabria: Medium ruby with notes of bright red fruit, wood spice and dried violet. The concentrated palate is rich and charming; firm tannic grip and a fresh finish.
2018 Dolcetto d'Alba Vigna Scot DOC, Cavallotto, Piemonte: Medium-structured yet soft with typical aromas such as bright red fruits, minerality and floral notes. Although it is a wine made to be drunk relatively young, it still has ageing potential for up to 5 years. Good acid balance with ripe, structured tannin.
2016 Avi Sangiovese di Romagna Superiore Riserva DOC, San Patrignano, Emilia Romagna: Powerful ruby red with a garnet rim. The well-developed nose has overtones of ripe blackberries, violet, and spicy notes of clove and nutmeg. The palate is elegant, with the structure and velvety tannins of Sangiovese typical of the terroir. The pleasant sapidity leaves a finish with inviting hints of forest fruits, leather and liquorice.
2015 Boca DOC, David Carlone, Piemonte: An elegant nose of dark forest fruits, dried herbs, and withered irises. Fresh with gripping tannins and a long finish. A wine of great personality and character.
2018 Derthona Colli Tortonesi DOC, La Colombera, Piemonte: Yellow-gold colour with a complex nose of light mineral and typical honey notes. During the first years after bottling fruity, nectarine, acacia flowers and honey notes emerge. On the palate, the wine is dry, warm and soft. The strong structure supports the alcoholic grading. Consistent, this wine is nicely balanced and persistent.
2017 Vertis Verdicchio di Metallica DOC, Borgo Paglianetto, Le Marche: Golden yellow with intense floral and apple aromas. Balanced, sapid and persistent. “Vertis” comes from the Latin vertere (“to turn”) a reference to this superior expression of the varietal.
2018 Frassitelli Biancolella Ischia Bianco DOC, Casa d'Ambra, Campania : Fruit is sourced from a single four-hectare vineyard on a steep cliff overlooking the Mediterranean; an example of "extreme viticulture" given the challenges of harvesting in these conditions. Straw yellow with golden highlights; the bouquet shows yellow fruit, herbs and notes of sea salt and honey. The wine is as unique as it is beautiful.
2015 Alta Langa Brut DOCG, Brandini, Piemonte: Scents of bread crust are perfectly blended with floral notes and hints of candied fruit. The very low sugar residue enhances elegance and finesse, character and persistence.
