FATTO A MANO: ORECCHIETTE DI FARRO
If you are interested in learning the art of pasta fatta in casa (homemade pasta) then our monthly "Fatto a Mano" series hosted at Sud Forno on Queen is the event for you! Executive Chef Giovanna Alonzi will guide you in the journey to master the techniques of homemade pasta. From egg pasta typical of Emilia Romagna like tagliatelle, ravioli or tortellini to orecchiette and cavatelli from the south, get your hands dirty and learn in a fun and interactive atmosphere.
This month, learn to make one of our most popular dishes from Sud Forno's restaurant, “Osteria da Geppetto”: Orecchiette! We will make a spelt based version of the ear shaped pasta from Puglia in a summery Ontario cherry tomato sauce. All of this while snacking on delicious Sud Forno aperitivo food and sipping on Prosecco.
