Join us on Thursday, April 27 at 6:00pm for our first Sip with a Somm with Gint Prunskus, Sommelier and Wine Director of Terroni Price and Bar Centrale di Terroni. Together we will explore the highlighted varietals, Nebbiolo and Cortese - benchmarks of Northern Italian wine production. Bring the magic of restaurant wine tasting into your home!

Exclusive Wines Imported by Cavinona
2019 'Gialla' Gavi DOCG, La Mesma
Varietals: 100% Cortese
Ageing/Vinification: The hand-picked grapes thrive on the family owned hillsides, well exposed to the sun and coastal breezes. Harvest is immediately followed by soft pressing and “in bianco” vinification at controlled temperatures in stainless steel vats. No malolactic fermentation.
Description: Straw-yellow with notes of stone fruit on the nose following through to citrus and meadow flowers on the palate. Fresh, crisp and harmonious with vibrant acidity.
2016 Boca DOC, Davide Carlone
Varietals: 85% Nebbiolo, 15% Vespolina
Vinification/Ageing: 15 days maceration with malolactic fermentation. 34 months ageing, of which at least 18 are in Slavonian oak barrels. Refining in bottle for at least 4 months.
Description: An elegant nose of dark forest fruits, dried herbs, raspberry and leather. Fresh with gripping tannins and a long finish. A wine of great personality and character, from the tiny Boca DOC area.
Gint was born and raised in Niagara, but fell in love with wine while living in Europe. Upon returning to Canada, he decided to make his passion his profession and studied wine at George Brown College, The International Sommelier Guild and later the Wine & Spirits Education and Trust.
