Buona Festa della Mamma! Happy Mother's Day! Spoil Mom this year with a beautiful curated by the sea inspired meal from Sud Forno's Executive Chef Giovanna Alonzi. We've also included gift add-ons like flowers and pasta equipment for you to make Mom's day that much more special. Choose the multi-course meal on its own or pair it our sommelier's handpicked selection of wines from our wine agency Cavinona! 



Included in the box:

Pane Pugliese: mother yeast (white flour and water), semola rimacinata from Altamura, salt

Carpaccio di Salmone: smoked salmon, caviar, orange, lemon, lime, mint, citronette, EVOO

Spaghetti di Nero di Seppia al Granchio: spaghetti (squid Ink, eggs, water, flour), crab, compound butter (lemon, capers, shallot, butter), aromatic bread crumbs (anchovy, garlic, EVOO, bread crumbs), chives

Zuppa di Pesce: brodo (lobster & shrimp shells, vegetables) sea bass, squid, shrimp, mussels, cherry tomatoes, garlic, chili, EVOO, salt, pepper

Insalatina Mista: romaine, arugula, cherry tomatoes, radish, balsamic vinaigrette

Mille Foglie: puff pastry (flour, butter, salt, sugar), pastry cream (eggs, sugar, milk, cream, butter, corn starch) strawberries, white chocolate pearls


Carpaccio di Salmone: Divide the salmon and caviar onto two plates, garnish with the citrus fruit and mint, drizzle with citronette and serve.

Spaghetti di  Nero di Seppia al Granchio: Bring a pot of 4L of salted water to a boil. Boil the spaghetti for 4 minutes. In the meantime melt the compound butter in a pan, add the crab and lower heat. Drain the spaghetti and toss them in the pan for 2-3 minutes longer. Divide the pasta onto 2 plates, finish with the aromatic bread crumbs and chives.

Zuppa Di Pesce: Preheat a pan over medium heat. Add the cherry tomatoes and garlic with their oil, fry until the garlic becomes golden. Add the calamari and sautee for 2 minutes. Add the fish stock and bring to a boil. Add the sea bass, lower heat to medium-low and add the sea bass fillet; cook for five minutes. Add the shrimp and mussels and cook for 2 minutes. Add the parsley and serve, dividing the fish into two bowls. Serve with toasted, crispy pugliese bread.

Insalatina Mista: Toss the salad in a bowl with its dressing and serve.

Throughout Italy you will find that every kitchen uses a tagliere in order to make any type of dough - pizza, pasta, bread, etc. Saliente is a woodworking company from Ontario that specializes in customized orders using hard maple to withstand time. It measures 24 inches wide and 43 inches long. 




2020 Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, Piero Mancini: Pale straw yellow with greenish glints. Elegant and aromatic with floral notes alongside fresh herbs and yellow apple. Clean and bright with a balanced palate and crisp acidity. Granite soil provides a unique layered minerality. From the only DOCG in Sardinia: a source of Gallura pride all over the world.

2017 OUTIS Etna Bianco DOC, BIONDI: Bright gold colour. The nose has aromas of wet stones, with hints of flowers, apricot, peach and herbs. On the palate, the wine is very flavorful with lively balancing acidity. Clean and elegant.

2015 Ribolla Gialla Collio DOC, La Castellada: Bright, golden yellow with intense notes of balsamic herbs, sweet spices, and candied citrus. The palate has nutty tannins, bright acidity, and great balance; very enjoyable. Full bodied, rich and smooth.


2018 Rosato IGT, Monteraponi: A rosé, brilliant and of an intense pink, it presents notes of strawberry and raspberry. Sangiovese gives high notes of acidity and freshness, also guaranteeing durability and longevity, characteristics not common for a rosé.




Delivery & Pickup 

Local Delivery

We now deliver our meal boxes with Trexity! Enter your postal code when you checkout to see if you are eligible for local delivery (20km radius from Spaccio at 22 Sackville Street). Deliveries arrive between 12pm-8pm, but usually on the earlier side. For questions about your delivery, please contact Spaccio directly at (416) 368-4248. You will receive same day delivery if you order before 3pm. Orders placed after 3pm will arrive next day. Deliveries with Trexity can be tracked from the moment your order is being prepared up until you receive your order. 

Store Pickup

Store pickup for this item is available at Sud Forno Queen (716 Queen St. W.) or at Spaccio (22 Sackville St.) on Friday the 7th, Saturday the 8th or Sunday the 9th (Spaccio only). Choose your pickup date and time on the checkout page.
