Inspired by traditional Italian dishes, the Terroni Tote Bag celebrates ingredients and Italian expressions that help define the Terroni DNA.

Each bag features two designs in one. On one side, a list of authentic Italian ingredients drawn from our menus and cookbook and on the other, classic Italian sayings as a playful nod to our roots.

MANCU LI CANI - NOT EVEN THE DOGS An expression from Calabria in the south of Italy to emphasize how bad or unpleasant something is — so bad that even dogs wouldn’t approve

UNA MANO LAVA L’ALTRA - YOU SCRATCH MY BACK AND I’LL SCRATCH YOURS Just like in English, It’s a common Italian proverb that carries the idea of mutual help or reciprocity — that when people support one another, everyone benefits.

AMORE TESORO SALSICCIA E POMODORO - LOVE DARLING SAUSAGE AND TOMATO It doesn’t have a proverbial meaning per se, but rather an intentionally playful and romantically endearing way to express affection.

Look closely and you might even spot a little Easter egg: a tiny rotated Terroni “I” hidden among the words.

Design Notes from Small Project Studio

Aiming to become a new Terroni staple, we took great care in its creation. Made from 100% heavyweight cotton canvas, the tote’s silhouette was designed to feel both premium and versatile, balancing form and function. The design focuses on typography, featuring statements and dishes from the physical menus used at every restaurant, another beloved Terroni signature that customers have come to recognize over the years, but with a twist. Each ingredient list is translated into Italian, inviting curiosity and conversation. More than a nod to the Italian graphic tradition of street signage, this tote celebrates everything we think defines Terroni: its visual language, its spirit, and most importantly, the people and stories we have shaped together over the years.
