Masseria Dauna is a company run by 14 women in Puglia that grow tomatoes on the hills outside of Lucera and produce delicious tomato sauce.

They use a technique called “arid culture” which consists in not watering the tomatoes and letting them absorb all of the nutrients from the soil. Nothing is added to the tomatoes when put in jars to maintain the authenticity!
