Discover the art of handmade pasta with an interactive class led by our Executive Chefs. Designed for pasta lovers of all skill levels, this class will take you through the art of making pasta by hand from kneading the dough to plating a classic Italian dish. In this month’s class, we’ll be making Raviolo al Basilico, a type of laminated pasta!

You’ll start your evening with some aperitivo snacks and a glass of bubbly before taking your place for the main event. Our Executive Chefs will lead you step-by-step through the process of making pasta by hand. We will then pack up your pasta for you to enjoy at home while our chefs make samples of a typical dish using laminated pasta for you to try.

After the class stop at our Spaccio restaurant for a glass of wine or dinner to end the night.

WHAT IS LAMINATED PASTA

Arguably one of the prettiest types of pasta, laminated pasta is when you press something between two sheets of pasta to created a patterned dough. This can range from herbs and flowers to coloured dough. The result is a visually striking pasta with a lot of fresh flavour. It was probably the famous Italian chef Gualtiero Marchesi that laminated the first pasta when he made a "raviolo aperto" with a parsley leaf in it's middle. Marchesi is often credited with being the founder of modern Italian cuisine and was the first Italian chef to become recognized worldwide.
